Zaikar Punjabi Rasoi,C-1 Yamuna Vihar

#DeepFryFridays: Zaikar Punjabi Rasoi @C1, Yamuna Vihar, Shahdara, New Delhi, Delhi 110053, India
#BhukkadScore: 3.1

The neighbourhood Punjabi food place at Yamuna vihar I found this place while working in North east Delhi.
A bunch of us at work used to order in from here - the delivery used to be prompt, easy and friendly.
Large portion sizes. The rotis were wheat ones - big win! The dal, dry veggies were eternal favourites. Anything with aloo - use matar/ gobhi/ anything else-were big on the re-order list. As were all the dals, the rajma, the palak corn.

Excellent pickel in super duper sarson ka oil, starter, main course & beverage. All good.

The only flaw was too much topping on the masala papad. Which made it really soggy in matter of minutes.

Authentic Punjabi cuisine is the order of this restaurant and for a change relished the Vegeterian dishes.

Vaishnav Chat Bhandar, Yamuna Vihar

4 out of 5 #Bhukkad Points

#BhukkadInsight:  This place is kind of an institution for all chaat lovers...! Go at any time of the day.. peak summer hour or on a rainy evening... you would have to queue up to get your plate of indulgence. But to out your nerves at peace, every minute would just be worth the wait... If I had it my way, I would have requested them to give me a direct connection so that all I have to do is open my tap and have a glassful of their yummy-licious golgappa water .Order anything and you cant go wrong with it. Their tikis, aloo chaat, golgappas, lachcha tokri, pav bhaji... everything is just amazing. No place to sit or to keep your orders. No place for parking as well. I suggest if they could only move the shop a bit in and have some space for their patrons. #STAYBHUKKAD

#JhatpatMondays: Rolls Tiger , India/delhi/eastdelhi/shahdra

Rolls Tiger,

1/9634, Main Babarpur Road, Opposite Reliance Fresh,Shahdara, New Delhi

+91 7503637775
A small restaurant with no frills in the "jamuna paar" is a kebaberie that has been dishing out Kolkata-Mughlai rolls for more than three decades. Visit the restaurant for its delicious kathi rolls. The standard is a double serving of mutton botis or mutton seekh kebabs wrapped in a paratha with a double or single strength of egg. Also extremely popular are the Kakoris, biryani and Chicken Korma. Besides, you can check out Kali Mirch Chicken Tikka. For the vegetarians, there is Potato Masala Roll. Malai Rabdi serves as a nice dessert.

Rolls tiger is a good place to have veg / non-veg snacks.
Ambience: It is a take-away outlet. Kitchen is clean but small (4-6 meters square area).Food: The rolls are good enough. One can try many combinations of a non-veg roll like single chicken egg with single, double double egg with chicken and the same goes with mutton. The inner cores are seekh kebabs. Taste is good but sometimes there are more than required fillers like onions, cabbage etc. Cost: Reasonable enough might seem at a slightly higher side.
   Overall 3 #Bhukkad points.
